Data processing within the framework of the Antisemitism Reporting Center:

Purpose of processing: Operation of the Antisemitism Reporting Center. The Antisemitism Reporting Center offers the opportunity to report antisemitic incidents in order to combat antisemitism. We process your data to document the incidents and to support you in the event of antisemitic incidents. If necessary, we will contact you to clarify any questions and discuss further options, such as those related to the police, psychosocial, legal, or other issues.

Recipients of data:

A fundamental principle of our work is the protection of trust: You decide how we handle your report. Therefore, your data will only be transmitted at your request.

Legal basis for processing:

The processing of your data is based on our legitimate interest, namely to operate the Antisemitism Reporting Center and to support you in the event of antisemitic incidents. Furthermore, there is an overriding public interest (especially the Jewish community) in processing this data. Only if antisemitic incidents are reported and systematically recorded can antisemitism be combated.

Further information: We process your data for as long as necessary to document the incidents. We generally retain data for three years.

Further information:

You have the right to information about the data stored pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, to rectification of inaccurate data pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, to erasure of data pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, to restriction of data processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, and to objection to unreasonable data processing pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR. If processing is based on a declaration of consent, you have the option of revoking this consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

In addition, you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority – in Austria the responsible authority is the Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna.

We need the data we request from you to provide our services as part of the Antisemitism Reporting Center or to provide the information you have requested. If you do not provide the collected data, we cannot provide our services.

Automated decision-making, including profiling, does not occur. If we process your personal data for a purpose other than that for which we collected it, we will notify you of this fact and inform you of this other purpose.
